Nick Rufca has amassed over a decade’s worth of experience working
within Los Angeles’s film industry, balancing his career in feature
production with writing.
His first feature script, THE MIDNIGHTERS, was a finalist in the
Slamdance screenplay competition. Soon after, he was hired by Silverline
Entertainment to write the thriller CONTRACT KILLERS as a starring
vehicle for Dolph Lundgren. His short script RED INK was honored as both
a Slamdance and Shriekfest finalist, and the short horror film produced from
his screenplay, PAGE TURNER, screened at variety of film festivals,
including Comic-Con and LA Shorts Fest.
Nick’s writing also extends to the magazine world in his role as a
contributing food and restaurant columnist for AAA’s WESTWAYS
MAGAZINE.
At present, Nick works as a production supervisor and has been a part of
both studio features and independent films. Highlights include SMOKIN’
ACES, DISTURBIA, CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR, A SINGLE MAN,
THE MUPPETS, ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS and most
recently, Kevin Smith’s YOGA HOSERS.
